Staff changes at Cygnet Family Practice
Sadly, Dr Sam Wytton has left us. Her priority is her young family and despite the fact she loves working here, she finds there is not enough time to include travel, work and managing two young children. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours, and she will be missed by staff and
CFP Reception Update
We are experiencing a “bottleneck” in our reception area. We need to keep the narrow table to maintain a safe distance for our receptionists but this takes up space. A Home Medicines Review (HMR) can help you get the best out of your medication. It provides an opportunity for you to discuss your medication in depth with a specially accredited pharmacist who then communicates recommendations
Josh, one of our receptionists, and Kerrie attended a meeting at the town hall in Cygnet with other community members to find out more on raising awareness and support for those considering or affected by the suicide of another. We will keep you informed of additional support and meetings when known
Cygnet Family Practice promotes LGBTQI+ awareness
Juliet, Kerrie and Rebecca attended professional development in Hobart on issues confronting LGBTQI+ people. As a practice we aim to meet the health care needs of all who choose our practice.
Telehealth general practice consultations are a positive outcome of COVID-19. Benefits include easy access to your Health Professionals, without time away from work or home, especially for consultations where an examination is not needed. The quality of your care remains the same. Telehealth consultations are encouraged for patients with respiratory symptoms who need to isolate

We are now offering a Respiratory Assessment Clinic each day for those who need healthcare but have potential signs and symptoms of COVID -19.
