Pharmacy Update
Thank you to Jo, a pharmacist from the National Prescribing Service, for providing an update on pain medication. The session was helpful for our doctors, nurse practitioner and our nurses to keep up to date with changes to prescribing drugs of addiction and how to best help people with pain.
Credit and Debit Card surcharging to begin from 21/10/2020
Credit and Debit card fees have been absorbed up until now by our practice. As you know when you use your cards elsewhere, the card surcharge is paid for by the user of the card.As part of our commitment to improvement, we plan to start having a “user pay’ approach to Credit and Debit card
Juliet to the rescue

Teal Ribbon Day
Wednesday 26 February 2020 is Teal Ribbon Day – a day to support Australians living with ovarian cancer, honour those we have lost and raise awareness of this deadly disease to change the story for future generations. Every day in Australia, four women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer and three will die from the disease.
Farewell Lyn Fish Nurse Practitioner

February is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.
Screening before symptoms become present is important, because bowel cancer can develop without any early warning signs. Surveillance may mean regular faecal occult blood testing (or FOBT) of the bowel movement for invisible blood. If positive for blood, colonoscopy is recommended to investigate the cause Medical guidelines recommend people at average risk of bowel cancer
