Nigel has worked as a predominantly rural GP for about 40 years, initially in Batemans Bay NSW where he ran his own practice, and then based in Newcastle since the late 90’s. Since late 2018 he has been continuing to provide care for communities in rural and remote Australia as a GP locum, whilst still being based in Newcastle.
Since April, he has worked with the Girudula Community Co-operative GP practice in Bowen Qld, and at the NPA Family & Community Services General Practice at Injinoo.
Dr Humphreys enjoys working with patients of all ages, including children and older patients, and they seem to enjoy talking with him about their health, and appreciate the time and care that he offers. He also has particular experience with Workers Compensation.
