Cygnet Family Practice (CFP) is an accredited general practice using a patient-centred, team-based, holistic healthcare model. Our health practitioners are skilled, enthusiastic and genuine in their patient care, and a wide variety of presentations makes for a rewarding and challenging clinical experience.
We are seeking a kind, general practitioner to join our team. An interest in nutritional medicine would be an advantage. The practice is currently open Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 5pm, with plans to open on Saturdays in the near future. This would mean working a Saturday once every 5 weeks. After hours is covered by Healthdirect Australia, so there is no requirement for on-call.
The practice
Cygnet is situated in the beautiful Huon Valley, an hour south of Hobart. The eclectic Cygnet community is most welcoming, and passionate about the environment in which they live. Cygnet is a growing community, with a bustling array of lifestyle choices including sailing, sports, music and arts festivals. There is a choice of local public and private schooling from kindergarten to Grade 10. We are fully computerised, uses Best Practice clinical software and provide a mixed billing model.
The clinical team consists of two general practitioners, two nurse practitioners and three practice nurses. Access to local allied health practitioners onsite include a physiotherapist, diabetes educator, dietitian, podiatrist, psychologist, and a child and family health nurse.
